Hello T.

Because only task represents workflows only those can be iterated. Therefore a datasource (DB, Excel) can be used to provide each iteration with different input data or validation data.

The whole mission project can not be iterated. Therefore specify your tasks in that way that all actions that must be repeated are subelements of one task - that can be iterated.

The mission project is no active execution element and can not be repeated in general, but it provides many actions that can be specified for it's tasks, e.g. Test Report, Output etc.

Two alternative ways:

1. Specify the scheduler to repeat the mission multiple times. Because this execution is time trigered it will not stop after ten times.

2. Specify a global Parameter "counter" with start value 0
Specify a JavaScript that evaluates this parameter

iteration = ${counter} +1;
document.all[123].innerText = iteration;

if(iteration < 10){
//@gotoTask[Task:1];
}else{
//@breakMission;
}

and add this script to the last step element from which on the loop has to be started again.

Note: document.all[123] must point to a HTML element that can be used as extracted source. So we change it's text attribute to persist the counter value.

After the "last" step, a "more last" step - HTML element with index 123 - must be specified to extract text and assign to parameter 'counter' (from steps configuration dialog, sec tab "navigation value")

But note again: This leads to goto back to task 1. Task Iteration features - retrieving data - will also start again.

This examples how to combine concepts and functionalities in JStudio SiteWalker enable features that are not supported within the tools primary features

Greetings from Germany and Best regards,

Frank
